Construction is now moving above ground. The tower crane has been erected. We are pouring the ground floor slab now in sections. We are also starting to form walls and columns that will support the 2nd floor. Please see pictures below taken from the site.
Excavation has been completed on site. We are currently completing rebar installations for the footings. Saturday February 11th we completed a large raft slab concrete pour that started at 4am and lasted 20 hours from start to finish. The last sections of the raft slab concrete pour were completed February 16th. We have scheduled the tower crane erection for later this month. Please see the pictures below.
This is the first of many construction updates we will be providing. Our goal is to send an update every three months. Currently we are excavating onsite. We are also completing shoring and tiebacks to secure the perimeter. We anticipate this month we will be in a position to start waterproofing and preparing for pouring the footings for the foundation. Please see the pictures below.
The base is taking shape at DTK Condos in Downtown Kitchener. We are excited to see the stages in construction as we move along. Excavation and shoring is almost complete. At this point the foundation is also beginning to be poured on site.
